Most people who call us aren't ready to start that day. They want to know what methadone treatment actually involves, whether they'd have to come in daily, what it costs, and who would find out.
Those are reasonable questions and we'll answer them plainly. Nothing happens until you decide it should.
What treatment looks like here
Methadone Maintenance Treatment
Methadone is a long-established, regulated medication for opioid use disorder. It prevents withdrawal and reduces cravings, which frees up the attention and stability that recovery actually requires. Our team monitors your progress and adjusts your treatment over time.
Assessment and treatment planning
Your first proper appointment is an assessment: your history, your health, your circumstances, what you want out of this. The plan comes out of that conversation rather than a template.
Medical detoxification
If you need to withdraw from alcohol, opioids or benzodiazepines, that is done under medical supervision. Withdrawal from some substances is genuinely dangerous without it.
Counselling and ongoing support
Medication handles part of it. Counselling addresses the rest: the reasons, the patterns, and the practical work of rebuilding a life around not using.
A team that talks to each other
Doctors, pharmacists, counsellors and support staff in one building. Your prescribing physician and your dispensing pharmacist are colleagues, not strangers exchanging faxes.

Who finds out
Your treatment is covered by the same medical confidentiality as any other care. Information isn't shared with your employer, your family or anyone else without your consent, except in the narrow circumstances the law requires. If you have specific worries about who might find out, raise them on your first call. It's a common question and a fair one.
